Tucked away in the emerald hills of Ghana’s Volta Region, Tagbo Falls is one of the country’s most enchanting natural wonders. Located just outside the peaceful village of Liati Wote, the falls tumble gracefully through layers of rock and forest, ending in a final, awe-inspiring 60-meter drop. Getting to Tagbo Falls is part of the magic. The guided trail begins near the base of Mount Afadjato, winding through lush rainforest, cocoa farms, and small wooden bridges. Along the way, you’ll hear birdsong, glimpse butterflies, and feel the air cool as the sound of rushing water grows louder. When you reach the falls, you’re met with a majestic sight: a tall ribbon of white water plunging into a serene pool, framed by moss-covered rocks and a canopy of green.
