Wli Waterfalls (pronounced ‘vlee’), also known as the Agumatsa Falls, is in the Volta Region of Ghana, a 5 hour journey from Accra. Officially recognised as the highest waterfall in Ghana and West Africa, it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Ghana. Apart from its natural beauty, you can engage in lots of activities such as swimming in the water, hiking to the top of the falls or visiting the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary, which features more than 200 bird species and 400 butterfly species.
